This video covers the benefits of our Multiple Sales Pipelines feature, which allows you to reflect various services or products offered as well as track and report on specific sales processes.

In this video we’ll show you how to set up Multiple Sales Pipelines. This can help reflect the various services or products being offered, and will help replicate the different journeys taken in order to track and report on specific sales processes.

Every Capsule account by default has a single pipeline, however, users of our Teams & Enterprise plans can create up to 10 pipelines to further support their business. Let’s take a look at how to add an additional pipeline.

To set up this feature you’ll need to have Admin access, you can then navigate to the Account Settings where you’ll find the Sales Pipelines section.

If we click here, we’ll now have the option to add a new pipeline by clicking the add pipeline button. You’ll need to start by giving the new pipeline a name; you can also add a description which will only be visible within account settings. Once saved we can now go and add the Milestones and Milestone descriptions, plus set the probabilities and days until stale. Once you’re happy with all this information you’ll now be able to start taking advantage of this feature.

It’s worth noting that every pipeline will share the same lost reasons, we recommend using reasons that apply to all the pipelines you’ll need on the account. We cover this feature in more detail within the “Manage Your Sales Pipeline” video.

You can also duplicate an existing pipeline. This can be a real time saver if the new pipeline you’re creating has similar milestones to one that already exists in the account. This process won’t copy any of the sales opportunities, instead it will mimic the settings.

From the Account Settings you can also archive a pipeline if it is no longer needed. In order to archive you’ll first need to ensure that there are no active sales by moving them to a different pipeline, marking them won or lost, or deleting.

If we navigate to the Sales Pipeline you’ll be able to see this feature in practice. Starting with the Kanban view - we can click here to quickly filter between pipelines and review which opportunities are open in each. At the top right of the Kanban view you’ll see the projected value, along with the total value of all pipelines, whereas on the left hand side you’ll see the filtered value for the current pipeline.

If we navigate to the List View, you can view the sales that are open across multiple pipelines by clicking on the pipeline filter and then selecting the choices that you’d like to view. This is also a great way to see different opportunities in one centralized view. The pipeline column is also a way to easily see where the sale belongs and you can easily filter to analyze new business and make informed decisions.
Our final view, the Sales Pipeline Dashboard, also lets you filter by pipeline to get a visual overview of what’s currently being forecast and what’s recently been converted.

If we jump to add a new sales opportunity, you can see here that you can choose which pipeline the sales belongs to. This can be changed here and you can also change pipelines after an opportunity has been created.

To do this, navigate to the sale, click the dropdown arrow here and select Move Opportunity - you’ll then be able to pick which Pipeline and Milestone you want to move the sale to.

The third way this can be managed is by simply going to our Kanban view and dragging the opportunity tile here. We can then move it to the appropriate pipeline - giving you full control of where you place the sale.

If you use the dropbox for creating new opportunities, don’t worry, you can also specify which pipeline the sale will be added to. You can read more about this on our multiple sales pipelines support doc.

Reporting on your different pipelines couldn’t be easier.
You can filter all sales reports by a specific pipeline or by multiple pipelines. You’ll see this filter here - this is a really great way to gain insight into past performance on the account and it can really help you understand the split of what new business is being forecast within Capsule. We have dedicated training material available around all our reports, both within our Support documents as well as our resource page if you’d like more information on this powerful area.

That, in a nutshell, is how you set up multiple sales pipelines, along with an overview of the benefits this will provide to both you and your team. It’s a really powerful tool for segmenting your leads and ensuring that different processes are clearly reflected.
