West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on March 07 participated in Trinamool Congress’s Mahila Wing Rally on the streets of Kolkata. Mamata Banerjee’s nephew and TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee also participated in the rally ahead of International Women’s Day on March 8. The rally started from College Street and ended at Dharmatala, passing through several crucial points in North and Central Kolkata. Many TMC followers participated in the rally which was taken out to highlight the projects that directly benefitted the women of the state.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
