1989: Chicago Bears vs Washington Redskins Remastered Highlights

Описание к видео 1989: Chicago Bears vs Washington Redskins Remastered Highlights

We return to 1989 for another Madden gem, with the Redskins and Bears facing off in this late November showdown at RFK. Both teams were at a crossroads at this point in the '89 season. The Redskins were 5-6, the Bears 6-5, and both knew they had to win on this day. In victory, Washington kicked off a 5-game season ending win streak and a 10-6 final records (so very Gibbs), while the Bears spun into a 5-game nosedive to finish 6-10.

Mark Rypien went on a spree, racking up 390 passing yards and four touchdowns. Gibbs challenged his receivers (Art Monk, Gary Clark, and Ricky Sanders - a.k.a. "The Posse") to carry the team in this must-win game, and they (and Rypien!) delivered with a combined 23 catches for 343 yards and 3 touchdowns. Ernest Byner added 127 all-purpose yards and a TD of his own as Mike Ditka could only watch with mounting frustration. (Ditka's reactions throughout this game could fill their own YouTube channel - someone get on that).

This VHS to 1080p(ish) digital remaster is a little rougher than our usual stuff, but it's still the Bears vs Redskins, Ditka vs Gibbs, at RFK Stadium - a gotta share it game from RetroSkins.
