New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was administered the first dose of vaccine against Covid19 at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi at 6.25 am today. The Prime Minister tweeted a photograph of the moment with smiling face. He was wearing 'gamchha' scarf of Assam.

The Prime Minister tweeted: Took my first dose of COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS. Remarkable how our doctors and scientists have worked in quick time to strengthen the global fight against COVID-19. I appeal to all those who are eligible to take the vaccine. Together, let us make India COVID-19 free!

The vaccine, the Prime Minister took today is Bharat Biotech made COVAXIN - India's First Indigenous Covid-19 Vaccine.
