This is the first episode in a multi-part travel vlog series called EASTonia, where we travel across mostly Russian-speaking towns in the eastern region of Estonia.

Estonia is an interesting country, full of cutting edge technology, beautiful traditional medieval buildings, modern high rise buildings, but also many architectural remnants of a Soviet past.

Travelling to the far eastern regions of the country, as we approach the Russian border, we encounter many towns where the majority of local people speak Russian as their first language. Throughout these towns we encounter friendly people, as I continue to learn the Russian language in my travels.
