Once again, I resist to submit to my bad habits that I am trying to quit.
And I rose to exist in a feat, in conquest to relive my dreams.
I’m not scared to be alive, yet got no fear in death.
All I know is that I wanted to say what I had left.

I repair from defeat, as the blood rush returns to re-colour my cheeks.
I’m not scared to release to my new self.
I perish in thoughts that I just can’t relieve.

Re-define colourblind, every time that I close my eyes.
Can't distinguish my mind.
Everything became blue.

Trading places with familiar faces that don’t even know my name.
(But they feel this shade)
Now instead, they look and lament at the passerby that I’ve become.
Though we’re still the same,
I won’t be burdened withering in their delay.
Seeking some patience, while they occupy my space.
It’s been a constant subject, hindering my vindication.
Living within the one ceiling, places limits I can’t take.

Heavy heart, open hands.
Stretched them out, cross the bowls above the sands.
I’m connected to my resurrection, and tied to this section of land.
Once a kid, counting sheep.
Now I dream, seldom time to sleep.
Embrace days, wide awake.
I have risen from my subjective grave.

I’m alive
This reprieve, from the colourblindness that once consumed my being.
Such a feat, to recover my life, yet I’m still grieving.
I’m alive.
For the first time in years, I can finally fight to see promise in the sunrise.
I am alright.
I’m grateful to say, I savour each day that I’m breathing.

Look at how far I’ve come, trading places in the street.
All I have, I won’t keep, will return back to the earth, when my heart stops beating.
