Remember my okapi sculpture? Now I’m making a fabric-friendly block print portrait for printing on my own tank top, handmade, at home! This is also my first project using the Woodzilla printing press. I've waited so long to have my own press, and after this project, I’m super excited to make more block-printed clothing. This vlog highlights the process of converting my recent okapi sculpture into a drawing, and then transferring that drawing into a linocut block for printing onto fabric. This is also the first project using my new Woodzilla levered printing press, the first printing press I’ve ever owned.
