This is one video I wanted to produce for quite some time but got distracted due to IRL stuff in the past.

Street Fighter IV was my first "current-entry" Street Fighter game back in the late 2000s.

Youtube was still in its infancy with content creation and I wanted to showcase how notable the nerfs were to Ryu back in the day and yet still be a tournament viable character.

I only focused on a single update jump rather than his entire career due to time constraints but also the near lack of research(?), like SUPER Chun-Li having no changes other than getting Ultra 2 for example.

I played this quite often during Vanilla and SUPER days but I didn't get into much when Arcade Edition, AE 2012 and Ultra were the latest versions.

Vanilla is a term used to describe the very first build of the game which lasted from Summer 2008 to April 2010.

SUPER is a term used to describe the first major update to Street Fighter IV which lasted from April 2010 to December 2010 (Arcade Cabinet AE) or June 2011 (Arcade edition out for consoles).
