Chromatin Biology Explained

Your DNA is inherited from your parents, but did you know there are special enzymes controlling which regions of your DNA are expressed? The study of epigenetic mechanisms seeks to explain how the interaction between DNA and the environment may affect a person's health. Researchers at the Simpson Querrey Center for Epigenetics are studying these mechanisms to develop treatments for cancer and disease.
