I just don`t like dead sounding drums. These are my Gretsch Renown drums with a 20 inch bass drum, 12 inch tom, 14 inch floor tom, and the wonderful 5x14 inch Gretsch Renown snare drum. All shells are the 6 ply maple. I have a very wide open tuning on all the drums so you can hear the natural sound of each drum. This is my Ken Loomer Jazz Quartet and I`m playing the famous jazz song Caravan for my drum solo feature. Of course Caravan was the big drum song on the movie "Whiplash" about a drummer and his music teacher. Since I`m the leader of this band, I get to play it at "My Tempo".
