The Akoben Advocacy Group, in partnership with the Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center Foundation, presents the Ghana Edition of the Child Safety Lesson Series on child abuse awareness and prevention. The program’s main goal is to educate children about what to do when confronted with abusive or unsafe behavior, the difference between safe and unsafe touches, and how to go to a parent, teacher, or another trusted adult for help. Children are taught clearly that abuse is never their fault.

This program has been developed by child advocates, therapists, and national experts in the field of child abuse prevention. The Ghana Edition has been adapted by Akoben Advocacy Group to include local language, cultural context, and Ghana child protection resources.
