County Comm GP7 Full Review

I offered to review the GP-7/SSB from www.countycomm.com and they took me up on the offer. I've had the GP-5 for several years, and was very happy with it. However, the GP-7 makes a good receiver, even better! I've been pleasantly surprised with its performance and would recommend adding it to your kit. It has AM, FM, HF, and Single Sideband (Shortwave, Medium Wave, Long Wave) so you can listen to local radio stations as well as the remaining shortwave stations including HF or Ham Radio transmissions.

The Lithium-Ion Battery pack is a nice addition and has a great run-time without recharging. A 5VDC Micro-USB cable is all you need to recharge the unit.

It's small enough to fit in a gallon ziploc bag to protect it from the elements and light enough to avoid excess weight in your pack.
