Nickel roundwounds vs Nylon tapewounds on a Precision Bass

Описание к видео Nickel roundwounds vs Nylon tapewounds on a Precision Bass

This video makes a comparison between nickel roundwound and nylon tapewound bass strings. The comparison is not meant to be fully scientific but rather to illustrate the basic differences in sound between these types of strings. The strings compared are Fender 7250ML nickel roundwounds and Rotosound Tru Bass 88 nylon tapewounds. Both sets are a couple of months old, so they are not brand new. The bass used is an all stock Squier Eva Gardner Precision Bass with volume and tone controls all the way up. It is recorded through a Radial JDI direct box. No EQ has been added to the sound of the bass, just a little compression to keep the meters happy.
