Jockey Sam Thompson Tribute

Jockey Sam Thompson died December 25th after suffering massive injuries when the horse he was riding went down after the wire. I did not know Sam well, but remember him with fondness. He was a very kind person, one day when I got "spun" by a rider at the gap to the track, Sam came over and said " Well, give me a leg up" with a big smile. My heart goes out to his girlfriend, family and friends. I bet Brian Long is up there talking his ear off right now ;-). God Bless and God Speed, Sam. You WILL be remembered.
