"Quite an extraordinary story" Colin Firth, Kelly Macdonald, Matthew Macfadyen | Operation Mincemeat

Colin Firth, Kelly Macdonald & Succession actor Matthew Macfadyen were left awestruck by the true life story of Operation Mincemeat. Macfadyen was especially intrigued by the connection between the now iconic James Bond and new World War II movie.

Macfadyen is starring in the upcoming film about the infamous operation that had the British intelligence disguising the body of a tramp as Captain William Martin to fool Germany into thinking their next target would be Greece.

Speaking to Digital Spy about which part of the real-life story surprised the actor the most, he admitted it had been Bond author Ian Fleming's involvement in the case.
