Deciduous vine with bright Red flowers. Also called "Hummingbird Vine" for good reason as it attracts them by the dozens and grows vigorously in the Texas heat with very little water. This vine can be aggressive and re-seeds readily so I discourage you from using it near greenbelts or water sources. However, if you are looking for a beautifully delicate vine with extraordinary flowers (about 1") and seasonal coverage, this is an excellent choice.
