Target Audience
This activity is designed for Child Neurology, Physical Medicine and Rehab, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, and
Neuroradiology healthcare providers.
Statement of Need
Physicians and practitioners need a venue to stay up-to-date on the newest diagnostic and treatment guidelines in
pediatric neurologic diseases. Practitioners need to become familiar with caring for children with a variety of neurologic
diseases, including the latest therapeutic advances and recommendations.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this offering, the participant will be able to:
1) Identify the main developmental categories/disabilities in childhood.
2) Describe screening and surveillance assessments.
3) Review aspects of the developmental evaluation.
4) Discuss diagnostic and testing options.
5) Identify management techniques for developmental delay.
