JAIPUR, INDIA: THE PINK CITY! (4K)

When tourists go to India, they almost always visit The Golden Triangle: Delhi (the capital), Agra (Taj Mahal), and Jaipur, The Pink City. Jaipur was named The Pink City because it was painted pink in the mid-19th century for an upcoming visit by the Prince of Wales. Why is Jaipur worth visiting? When you see the beautiful architecture; the palaces, the forts, and the jewels, you'll know why. The Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) is one of my favorite buildings in all of India-it's stunning. The Jaipur City Palace features impressive architecture and a museum. I was also given a private behind-the-scenes tour of a jewelry factory (where you can see the uncut gems and the finished product), and a carpet factory where I saw how they made the carpets step-by-step, and then the finished product. I took a once-in-a-lifetime elephant ride to Amer Fort (Palace) and then took a tour of the beautiful palace. Finally, we visited the Jantar Mantar, a 300 year-old observatory with larger than life astronomical instruments. As you will see, Jaipur is a beautiful city with much to offer.
