After finally seeing a kidney specialist, she learned she has stage 2 chronic kidney disease, which could be related to an autoimmune condition or the severe allergic reaction that nearly killed her years ago.

Bethenny admitted she doesn't drink enough water and was told "water is your medicine." She also has to eliminate certain medications and supplements like ibuprofen, Advil, and turmeric. The diagnosis comes after being diagnosed with long COVID and POTS in 2023, plus a recent bacterial infection in early January.

Her message to fans: "I think it's important to go get all your bloodwork done. Be thorough, then do the follow-ups for anything that seems like an outlier. Get your bloodwork done maybe six months and then six months later, because different stuff could come up."
