His success led to a move to TC Sports Club in 2017 and later to Minerva Punjab, where he helped secure the 2017–18 I-League title. Chemjong's career continued with RoundGlass Punjab, contributing to their 2022–23 I-League victory and promotion to the Indian Super League. Internationally, he reached his 100th cap for Nepal in March 2024, becoming the first Nepalese to achieve this. His accolades include Best Goalkeeper awards in the Dhivehi Premier League, I-League, and Nepal Super League.
