Korean President Park Geun-hye and ten Southeast Asian leaders will be in Korea′s southern port city of Busan for the next two days for talks on ways to strengthen their economic and diplomatic ties on the 25th anniversary of their relations.
Kicking off the event is a CEO summit later this morning.
More than 550 business leaders from the region will be networking and discussing a wide range of issues.
The heads of Korean firms will also share their insights with their Southeast Asian counterparts.
On the diplomatic front, President Park will hold bilateral talks with the leaders of six ASEAN countries, including Indonesia, the Philippines and Singapore.
The president will discuss her Northeast Asia Peace and Cooperation Initiative and ways to deal with North Korea′s nuclear weapons program.
