Nowadays, the typical glider chair is full of synthetic performance, stain resistant fabrics. But did you know that many of those fabrics contain PFAS, a “forever” chemical known to disrupt hormones and cause other permanent health issues? ☠️ There are many fabrics out there that are PFAS free, but almost all of them are at least partially, or completely synthetic: Polyester and other crude oil based materials that are anything but natural. I’m not saying they are all bad, but we are the biggest fans of using all natural fabrics everywhere we can; on our clothes, bedding, towels and upholstery.

The chair we went with has all the certifications we were looking for and none of the chemicals we work so hard to avoid. 👏 Of all the non-toxic and eco-friendly brands we carry on our site, this is the only one that offers a 100% natural fabric option. We chose the brushed cotton and belgian linen version; It’s incredily soft, beautiful and no synthetics whatsoever. These chairs are made in Canada and have a number of different options (this one is a glider but they also offer rockers, glider recliners, swivel chairs and upholstered beds) and are made to the highest standards. Even the foam used inside the chairs is certified. Each chair is made to order so you choose the chair, base, fabric and pillow and it’s made just for you! ✅

🤱 One of my favorite parts of this chair is the fact that it’s designed for ease in breastfeeding, which was important as I tandem feed both my newborn and my toddler. It swivels and glides and is super comfortable. I also love that we can move this to our living room in the future and it will blend in seamlessly with our decor.
