Join the crew at NEDA Know How as they chat with the always wonderful Shannon Dueck about how to best prep your horse for the flying change. Members always enjoy sessions with Shannon, and in this particular session reported the following highlights:

"This seminar with Shannon encouraged me to watch more slow motion videos and to find a schoolmaster to learn more with. Her presentation with the progression of exercises encouraged me to go back to a few patterns to pursue with more clarity to develop my own feel and timing."

"I appreciated how Shannon gave exercises that would be used at every level, especially the lowest levels, and explained how they prepare a horse for the flying change. She explained the position of the horse and why we apply aids in those positions, which would help the horse to understand what we are asking, and help us to get the desired outcome. She explains in a way that makes sense to someone who has never ridden those movements, and gives us a plan to work with, both for ourselves and our horses."

"I enjoyed Shannon's diagrams of the lower level exercises for building the skills needed for the flying changes."

"Like - everything! It was so clear and inspiring and she made it seem like average horses and riders still have value and it made me want to go ride tomorrow even though it’s going to be -0."

"I’m not close to teaching changes to my horse but I found the exercises used to prepare very helpful. Knowing how to prepare for changes in the future will help make sure I’m going about his training correctly. Hopefully I’ll be able to use more of what she went over as he progresses."

"she was great! Such helpful suggestions, too many to single one out"
