Apple to pay $95M to settle Siri lawsuit; apologises for saving user voices without consent

Apple has reached a $95 million settlement in a lawsuit claiming that Siri, the voice-activated assistant, listened to users' private conversations without their consent. The lawsuit alleged that Siri recorded conversations even when users did not say "Hey Siri" to activate it. Reports indicated that sounds like a zipper, raising an Apple Watch, or nearby voices would unintentionally trigger the assistant. This settlement addresses a lawsuit that has been ongoing for five years, which also accused Apple of sharing user data with advertisers.
