At approximately 2 AM on Saturday, January7, 2023, Congressman Bill Huizenga spoke on the steps of the U.S. Capitol to provide his first update to the residents of Michigan's 4th Congressional District.

A short while prior, on a historic 15th ballot, Kevin McCarthy was elected Speaker of the House. Once Mr. McCarthy took the oath of office, he then swore in all the individuals elected by their communities to serve in the 118th Congress.
