Wiring a Starlink Radio to a Notifier SFP-5UD

Starlink radios are one of the most common cellular communicators for fire alarms today. Here I show you how to connect to a conventional fire alarm panel using the alarm, trouble, and supervisory relays on the panel’s main board. Sometimes Notifier panels don’t seem to like the dial tone that the radio puts out. At least that happened on a recent fire warden install for me. So we’re using the relays instead.

You will want to go into the program and turn off central station reporting to prevent the panel from going into a phone line trouble. You may also need to delete the central station phone numbers or account number Depending on which fire panel you’re working with.
