2002 Kodokan Kata Clinic with Ichiro Abe: Koshiki no kata part 1

Here is the first of 2 parts from a Judo Kata clinic given by the United States Judo Federation and the Kodokan Judo Institute on June 22-23, 2002. Ichiro Abe, 10th dan, was the principle instructor, assisted by 3 other Kodokan instructors. The clinic was held at Columbia University, where Sensei Yoichiro Matsumura is the head coach. The clinic director was the late Sensei Y. Yonezuka 9th dan. Attending the clinic were some of the highest ranking Sensei on the East Coast of the US, such as N. Ogasawara, Y. Matsumura, N. Higashi, the late Rusty Kanokogi and R. Kanokogi, K. Shiina, the late Jimmy Takemori, S. Oishi, and many others. It was a very unique clinic, and deserves to be remembered.
