Kinetic Light Installation

Poorya Gharehgozloo (puriaqara) shows his authentic style: kinetic installations constructed out of colored feathers, woods, stones and tissue, mostly in transparent frames of glass or plexiglass with a reflection of neon lights while electronic sound creates a mystic ambiance over them.

His method is to not make full use of properties of each material or force change upon them but to simply allow each medium and form be itself.

Biography
Poorya Gharehgozloo (puriaqara) was born on 30 May 1976, Tehran. Due to his famili’s artistic background and his passion for arts, soon he started recognizing some of the greatest artists of all time in addition to experiencing creative activities by his own. Besides, he started classical piano at the age of 9, continuing attentively With Armenian Pianist Raphael Minaskanian till now.
He graduated in Industrial Design (Azad University of Tehran) and at the same time, attended drawing and sketching classes. He also participated in installation workshops of Behrooz Daresh, one of the owners of Dash.com and World wide Famous Artist , where he found his personal style and created a mixture of kinetic-light installations with sounds.
