BMW E46 instrument cluster frozen gauges repair 5/28/23

Hi friend! In this video, I show how I seem to have fixed my frozen gauges in my instrument cluster from a 2000 BMW 323i (E46). Basically, I took my instrument cluster apart and looked for black areas where the board might be shorting out. After finding an area that looked like it had been shorting out, I took a wooden toothpick and scraped away as much of the blackness as I could. I then re-set the gauges to minimum, put everything back together, and then re-installed the instrument cluster. It seems to be working well now.
