In this video, we explore the fascinating dynamics of a heavy-light fluid miscible displacement flow in a horizontal channel, where a Newtonian fluid displaces a Bingham fluid. The flow has three dimensionless parameters that describe it: the Bingham number, the densimetric Froude number, and the Reynolds number. The video shows our results including contours of concentration, velocity, and vorticity as well as velocity vectors.
