TRIP REPORT- Eurowings A319 Dusseldorf to Zurich (Economy)

Описание к видео TRIP REPORT- Eurowings A319 Dusseldorf to Zurich (Economy)

On Saturday 12th August 2017 we flew onboard Eurowings from Dusseldorf to Zurich. The previous day we had flown Manchester to Dusseldorf where we spent the day spotting. We also stayed the night and then woke up around 3am to catch our flight to Zurich.
The terminal at Dusseldorf is extremely modern and we were very impressed with the style and feel it had. Like most German airports, the majority of the shops and resturants were before security. Each section of gates has its own individual security. Unlucky for us there seemed to be a large number of Eurowings and Germanwings flights departing early morning and this consequently resulted in huge queues for security. We had never seen such long queues before with them literally snaking round the terminal. It took us around 45 minutes to get through security, luckily we had arrived in plenty of time.
We then headed straight to the gate, A33, a remote boarding gate which meant that our aircraft was on a remote stand. Boarding started promptly however we ended up standing on the bus for around 30 minutes as we waited for late passengers to arrive. This meant when we arrived at the aircraft we were already 10 minutes behind our scheduled time of departure. Boarding was very quick and everyone was onboard and ready to go within around 5-10 minutes. However we had a ATC delay which delayed the flight by around another 10-15 minutes.

The cabin and seats themselves were modern, comfortable and more than adequate, especially for a low cost airline. A Eurowings aircraft operated the flight however it was Air Berlin crew in the cabin. The legroom was good enough, with reasonable seat pitch and width.

The service again was excellent, very friendly crew and a speedy snack and drinks service. We had paid the 'basic' fare which meant we had to pay for any food or drink we may have wanted. Passengers who have booked the 'best' fare option receive a free snack and drink.

The food and drink options and selection was very good with a great variety of products on offer however as with many airlines, its rather pricey.

The flight itself was very pleasant. With a flight time of just over an hour the flight passed very quickly. We couldn't fault the product or service that Eurowings offered, especially considering the small price we payed for our tickets. The seats and service are more than adequate and we would definitely fly with Eurowings again in the future.
