Welcome To Corpus Christi Church, Piedmont CA
Robert Bernard Prevost was born on November 17, 1946 in Oroville, CA. He was blessed with three remarkable parents who each shaped his life in their own way: Robert Wright, who gave him life; Theophilus Prevost, who gave him guidance; and his beloved mother, Marjorie Elderly, who gave him unconditional love.
Robert was raised in Oakland, CA which explained his confidence, hustle and humorous but "don't mess with me" attitude. He attended St. Anthony's Elementary School, St. Joseph Notre Dame High School and Oakland High School, later graduating from Emery High School. As an all-around athlete, he was fast and fearless on the track, football field and basketball court.
On December 29, 1965, at just 19 years old, Robert was drafted into the Vietnam War and proudly served in the United States Army as a Specialist Four (SP4) with the legendary 1st Infantry Division, "Big Red One." He exemplified courage during his service and was honorably discharged on August 28, 1967. His decorations include the Vietnam Service Medal with bronze star, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal and two Purple Hearts.
After returning home, Robert began a career with 3M, where he became on the top salesman in Southern California, dedicating more than 25 years to the company.
In 1981, Robert married his longtime friend Edith Owens. At this time, he was a proud father to his son, Judson Troy Prevost, from his previous marriage to Mable Dixon. In 1982, Robert and Edith welcomed a new baby boy into their family, Robaire Bernard Prevost. Four years later, in 1986, their family was complete with the arrival of their daughter, Eden Ann Prevost.
Affectionally called "Bebe," "Bob," "Papi" and simply Dad, in the early 1990s Robert also became known as "Coach Prevost" by the Apple Valley Youth Football League. He eventually rose to serve as both president and conference president for Junior All-American football.
On October 26, 2025, Robert received his final set of orders and heaven gained a solider with a sense of humor.
