I Love Coffee I Love Tea -- words to the traditional piano song

Описание к видео I Love Coffee I Love Tea -- words to the traditional piano song

When my mother, Pauline Alice, was a young girl in the 1940s, she attended a one-room schoolhouse in Newtonville, a small community in rural Nova Scotia. The school was across the road from her farm, and it was her father who had donated the land on which the school was built. Because her farmhouse was so close to the school, her teacher always lived with her. On the playground her friends taught her a traditional little rhyme called I Love Coffee, I Love Tea, which she taught to me when I was young.

Here are the words:
I Love coffee, I Love tea,
I Love the boys and they love me!
Tell your mom to hold her tongue,
She loved the boys when she was young!

When I learned that the featured traditional piano song is also called I Love Coffee, I Love Tea, I wondered if the two could go together, with surprising results!
