Bach Stradivarius 37: The "GOLD STANDARD" Trumpet? | Instrument Reviews

In this video, we explore why it is that the Vincent Bach Stradivarius model 37 is so widely reputed as the pinnacle of trumpet tone and design. As someone who is not typically a fan of Bach Bb trumpets and fiercely advocates for the Yamaha YTR-8310Z that sits on the polar opposite end of the spectrum, it was very interesting to have the chance to closely examine the playing tendencies of this instrument. I was given the chance to borrow it on "long-term loan" for a period of about a year from summer 2021 to fall 2022, during which time I tried to use it as my main trumpet. In the end, I was glad to be back on my Yamaha, but the Stradivarius is and will always undeniably be a cornerstone of the trumpet industry. Whatever I might say about the model 37, it was enjoyable to play on, and my criticisms are the result of me being pampered by my 8310Z and holding very high standards.
