Using sends and returns is more common for FXs plugins like reverbs and delays but in this video I am placing an amp sim plug-in for some parallel processing and sending different tracks to it to give a bit of texture to some of my sample's bass or drums. I am also setting up some reverb delay using the air verb plugin in the mpc live one and x that gives my drums a punchy slap delay to add dimension to my sample-based boom-bap beat.
