Crushing, Grinding, Gold Panning, Smelting Gold Slag for Better Fine Gold Precious Metal Recovery

Crushing and panning slag concentrates off our shaker table and smelting. This sample was sent to test out our turnkey gold ore processor for recovering more gold from slag from an old gold mining site. The 1 ton per hour turnkey system crushed the sample down to 1" minus and was fed into our hammer mill for fine grinding. The fine crushed material was fed onto our shaker table where the high grade concentrates containing some of the copper collector metal was captured by our shaker table. The tailings were classified and de-watered by our spiral classifier. A small sample of the slag and matte were saved and direct smelting was tried on the sample. The smelting did recover a very small amount of copper/gold, but the return was not sufficient to warrant direct smelting. The best way to handle this sample will be to process through the turnkey system and then direct smelt the concentrates for final recovery of precious metals.
