Chordplay - The Chords of KISS

Описание к видео Chordplay - The Chords of KISS

Here's the next episode of Chordplay with The Chords of KISS.
KISS has been on my radar since I was a kid and long before I had even touched a guitar. There's just something raw and infectious surrounding their music, image, and legacy, and this lesson taps into a few of their chord-based secrets and movements, which will hopefully entertain the KISS fans that are watching and requested this lesson, not to mention turning unaware or younger viewers onto their signature chord moves and a number of famous songs/riffs.

This lesson hits some classics along with a few lesser-known tracks, which with a band with a career as long as someone like KISS, you have a lot of music and material to choose from. I chose to stick with the classics and focused on primetime 1970s KISS exclusively for this lesson, which targets a number of chord-based ideas from albums such as Destroyer, Rock And Roll Over, Hotter Than Hell, Love Gun, and more.

There are a number of things you can gain from getting your hands dirty with this lesson, as KISS always mined classic rock and blues guitar riffs and rhythm ideas, but in a beefed-up and early hard rock musical direction. You can tell they were really trying to sound as loud and heavy as possible back in the day, but at the root of their music in the 1970s, it was awash with blues and classic rock riffs, progressions, fills, licks, and various other elements hiding everywhere in their catalog.
