The LIRR M3 railcars have a window in the front of the train car next to the operator’s cab. This is completely cut off from the operator’s view, so we can simply walk right up to the window to see what it’s like to be an engineer. This is something that in this day and age, is becoming extremely rare.

Because of construction on the Third Track Extension Project, we switch to the eastbound track temporarily between Hicksville and Westbury. Notice that the new station platforms are shaping up as well.
