My great grandparents came off the boat from County Mayo & County Armagh in Ireland fleeing famine and strife for a new life in America. Prideful we are, devoted we are, patriotic we are.

I leave you with this Irish Blessing:

What is worth remembering,
Or remember what is best forgotten”

In 1926 Amhrán na bhFiann/ The Soldier's Song was adopted as the National Anthem of Ireland, replacing the unofficial "God Save Ireland".
