(Combat Achievements) All DT2 Boss Grandmaster Tasks: Vard, Levi, Duke, Whisp

Despite being OMEGA GAPPED by MGK uploading this video but better and a day earlier, DT2 boss cas are done. After waiting 6 months for this content we have been rewarded for our penance with hours of ruby resets and some overall mid tasks. I don't see why Jagex is introducing tasks that (borderline) require max gear (specifically I don't think Whisperer GM time is viable without shadow presently, without something silly like a triple ruby spec open), but not updating tasks that have been significantly powercreeped by new gear like the CoX and CM speed tasks.

I included this task because the way the game checks for the value of your gear is really janky, so just copy the setup I used in the video exactly to avoid wasting time.

3:46 Axe Enthusiast
The task starts checking for you to be in the middle 25 tiles as soon as the boss reaches 33% HP, from then onwards you can't leave. If you get an axe spawn along both diagonals, you have to tank one of them. If there are no axes on one of the diagonals, move to the corner of the 5x5 square to dodge all of them (explained it badly but just look at the video). Also you can bait the spikes underneath you by moving middle after dodging the set of axes to reduce damage a bit. If you have full tank gear and brews you shouldnt need to optimise this too much though, you can just tank and brew. Make sure to actually kill the boss before you die (it might take longer than expected because you will be brewed down).

My strategy was scythe into nat ruby (reset if you don't get one) double vw then scythe till dead. People will probably calc the optimal way to do this time in the future, maybe axe is better than scythe, maybe claws are better than vw, maybe you get the task faster by just sending attempts instead of sending rubies. Took about 3 hours of resets so it wasn't too bad.

10:36 Whisperer Speed-Runner:
My strategy was nat ruby into ruby spec and hope for the best. There's probably ways to optimise the kill itself and also getting chanced at the end is probably not optimal. Again this method may not be the fastest way to get the time. The voidwaker spec to get to final phase is mostly to avoid the projectile time on the shadow hit but it's also BIS if you need to only do a little damage to phase. It's not worth taking a melee switch for it since the inventory is already tight and you only need it to do like 30-40 damage anyway.

15:30 Leviathan Speed-Runner
Fish for rubies and zcb spec into zcb auto into fbow into enrage webweaver spec and bp to finish. You can tank venges as well or you can just hit an additional nat ruby during the kill.

16:50 Mirror Image
There's a strategy to do this task where you just sit in the back of the room with full Justiciar, pray mage and venge/recoil the boss to death. Or you can just hit the boss like a normal human being. It might be worth taking a 4t weapon for the 25% enrage phase but the task is so easy you don't need to bother.

19:23 Duke Sucellus Speed-Runner
Prep inspired by the Duke WR video by MGK. You must do a normal kill first to set up the instance for the speed kill. This prep loses I think 1-2 ticks over the optimal one but it's much easier to set up. You can totally get this time with a normal prep but it's a guaranteed time loss. If you don't hit a huge BGS on first spec on the boss it's kinda doomed. You can also tank more venges/do more recoil flicks on the boss to increase odds of getting the time.

Hopefully the Coliseum tasks are better! But it's always entertaining to see Reddit complaining about 'literally impossible' tasks they've never attempted before.
