DynamicArm: Installation and cabling of Electric Wrist Rotation and Coaxial plug

The DynamicArm is a myoelectrically controlled and electromotively driven elbow prosthesis from Ottobock. The special feature of the DynamicArm is the electronically controlled electric elbow joint with continuously variable transmission. Its vario gear and extremely fast signal transmission allow it to come very close to the natural movement behaviour of an arm and thus give the user the best possible independence in everyday life.

This video explains the installation and wiring of the two rotation variants. The Electric Wrist Rotation for active rotation and the coaxial plug together with the coupling piece for passive rotation of the prosthetic hand with the DynamicArm.

The Electric Wrist Rotation enables active electric rotation of the prosthetic hand, such as the MyoHand VariPlus Speed or the System Electric Gripper. Rotations of more than 360° are possible.
Together with the coaxial plug, the coupling piece allows passive rotation of all MyoBock prosthetic hands and bebionic hands with quick disconnect wrist (EQD). The electrodes and battery are connected to the coaxial plug. It transmits the electrode signals and the power supply to the prosthetic hand.

Active or passive wrist rotation reduces the user's body balancing movements.
