Fermecraft and Siemens technology, including MindSphere together provides an all-in-one solution that allows one of Australia's most modern wineries to guarantee quality in every bottle.

Fermecraft was able to bring new technology to the winemaking process at Levantine Hill. Fermecraft automation solutions are setup to monitor the fermentation within the vessels and capture it digitally to a processing system that can track and run a recipe for the winemakers. It provides greater clarity and vision of the fermentation process.

Fermecraft can reference and connect to other devices within the winery, and is not only looking after the ferment vessels but also monitoring the humidity and temperature in the barrel room and the water levels in the water tanks. It has also been setup to control the fire sprinklers which all comes together in the one Fermecraft package.

Not only are we using Fermecraft solutions for the standard ferment control, but through the modularity of the system and technology it can adapt and connect to other devices bringing them all together as one. It then can store all the data from the devices in the 4.0 Industry software solution package.

Fermecraft relies on a suite of Siemens technology including MindSphere which enables the ability to track data including vintage data on previous winemaking processes, to collate the performance of those vintages with various environmental events. This all comes together to produce a report for winemakers to review the environmental conditions, and compare to previous ferment profiles of a particular vintage.
