Zero-Emission, Fuel Cell-Electric Bus | New Flyer’s Xcelsior CHARGE H2™

Introducing the Xcelsior CHARGE H2™, North America’s only FTA-tested fuel cell-electric bus from New Flyer. This battery-electric vehicle uses compressed hydrogen as an energy source with the only output from the tailpipe being water vapor. With a range of up to 350 miles, the bus can be refueled in 6-20 minutes and requires no overnight plug-in electrical re-charging. Fuel cell-electric technology is a unique and innovative way to obtain extended-range operation similar to traditional transit vehicles with a fully zero-emission solution. Communities using Fuel cell-electric buses can save 85-175 tons of greenhouse gas per year compared to a traditional diesel bus while providing sustainable, extended-range transit operation.
