Final Fantasy I PSP - Shinryu (Lifespring Grotto)

Описание к видео Final Fantasy I PSP - Shinryu (Lifespring Grotto)

Game: Final Fantasy I
Port: PSP
Emulator: PPSSPP v1.0,7 64 Bit

Shinryu. Everyone's favorite Monster-in-a-box you had to battle for Ragnarok. He was considered the King of Offense, until people dethroned him with Berserk, Blind and Golem combo and basically turned him into a complete joke. But those tricks won't help you here!
But I am thankful this variation doesn't have Maelstrom or that annoying invulnerability trigger his Neo brother had.

Like the other bosses in Lifespring Grotto, it is a boss from Final Fantasy V and is challenged on the final floor. The player choses between him or Omega. Defeating him allows you to warp back to the surface.

It is recommended to challenge the superbosses at Level 70 or higher to ensure victory.

The music that plays is a remix of the Final Fantasy V boss theme.

PLAN
=====
Shinryu is far more threatening than Omega can ever be. Almost all of his turns he will usually cast an attack ability that hits your entire party. The most devastating of these attacks are Tidal Wave and especially Flare. Tidal Wave can hit as high as 300 damage and has no defense against it except your own Magic Defense. Flare on someone with terrible Magic Defense can do as high as 500 damage (I ended up losing my Monk 1/3 in to it). Without a high level Ninja, he usually gets First Strike, so you must factor this in when you do Healing or Augmentation turns.

NulShock and NulFrost are more important than Protera and Invisira due to the frequency of casting magic over attacking physically. If want to protect yourself from melee, use Invisira from the Whtie Robe multiple times. Once those are setup, constantly keep casting Healaga off your White Mage and assist her with Potions or the Rune Staff if you can't outheal his damage. Use a combination of your team's items and spells to setup all your buffs fast so you can begin healing off Shinryu's offense.

Although Shinryu's defense stats are unimpressive for a superboss, it is still wise to stack up multiple stacks of Temper/Saber and Haste so that you can dispatch this boss as quickly as possible. It isn't surprising after a few casts that you start doing 2000-4000 damage an attack. If you go the path of Magic, just keep freecasting Flare or Holy off your Judgment Staff or Lightbringer, you might not have the MP to destroy him and doing this will save Elixirs and Turbo Ethers for other bosses, especially Chronodia.

If you triumph over him, you get 2 very nice items that will aid in your cause. The first is the Ragnarok. It is a Knight sword that is more powerful than Excalibur and carries a major stat increase plus a massive Evasion bonus. The second is the Hero Shield, a shield that carries the effects of Ribbon and Protect Ring on a shield slot. Wearing this on your Red Wizard or Knight pretty much allows you to go Full Genji to improve your armor. Don't be surprised if your character with all this on obtains maximum Evasion (my Knight did at the end of this and he pretty much blocks or dodges attacks).

If you are able to slay this boss effectively, then you should have no problem doing Omega, Death Gaze and Chronodia.
