Volume 7 features more of the Virginian, N&W, NPBL, and more steam in the mid to late 1950's. H. Reid was a well known photographer from the Norfolk, Va area. He was mainly a still photographer so most of his movies were an afterthought. Nevertheless we are extremely glad he took his movie camera along to capture the end of steam power in the USA, Please like and subscribe! I do not known the rights to the music. H. Reid was a well known photographer of steam in the 1940s and 1950s. A native of Norfolk, Va., he attended Elon College and graduated from William & Mary. He was also a writer for the Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch, the Norfolk Virginian-Pilot, and the Newport News Times-Herald. His photos specialize in the Appalachian coal railroads as well as the little short lines that dotted the southern United States. He also published a well known book "The Virginian Railway" which was his favorite of the coal roads. His photos also appear in Trains Magazine in the 40s, 50s, and 60s. Photography was his specialty, so the movies were almost an afterthought. Reid was well known for is wit and having a way with words. He even wrote a little poem about his beloved Virginian Railway:

"The Virginian had a noble trait.
It seldom ran its coal trains late.
3 and 4 went in the hole
To let drags by, toting coal.
Its MB engines,
Pride of the line,
Hauled the tonnage
And steamed up fine".
