Libya floods: UN revises death toll to 4,000 as city of Derna faces "second devastating crisis"

The United Nations has warned of unsanitary conditions and malnutrition as Libya marks a week since catastrophic floods killed thousands in the city of Derna. Local authorities are working hard to prevent diseases to avoid a "second devastating crisis". They are particularly worried about dirty water and lack of sanitation. The UN said nearly 4,000 people have died in the disaster, revising down a previous estimate of 11,000. Still, the mayor of Derna said as many as 20,000 may have perished. Thousands are still missing, as families continue searching for their loved ones.
