The Sabie Magistrates' Court in Mpumalanga has postponed the case of 153 illegal miners, but charges were withdrawn against 10 South Africans who will turn state witnesses.
The miners were brought to the surface from an abandoned mine in Sabie last week, in an operation that took three days.
The group is charged with contravention of the Immigration Act, while some are also charged with kidnapping.
