Testing Game Boy & Game Boy Color games on different models | Sleek Talks

Описание к видео Testing Game Boy & Game Boy Color games on different models | Sleek Talks

I am currently experimenting with a new series I'm calling Sleek Talks.

In this episode, I test the compatibility of different types of GB/GBC games on different models ranging from original Game Boy to Game Boy Advance.

This video can be helpful for those who are starting to collect GB/GBC games.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are some extra notes I did not mention in the video.

If a game works on an original Game Boy and Game Boy Pocket, it should work with any other model flawlessly up to Game Boy Advance and in most cases, Game Boy Advance SP. This also includes Super Game Boy 1 and 2, Game Boy Light, and Game Boy Player.

Game Boy Advance games will not fit in any model older than the system they were designed for. Even if you do find a way, the game will simply not work.

If you are playing a GB/GBC game on a GBA, you can press the shoulder buttons to change the aspect ratio. Left shoulder stretches to fit the screen and right shoulder keeps the aspect ratio how it was originally intended.

GBC games with IR features are deemed incompatible with GBA or later models by default, as they do not have an IR sensor.
