Tramper all-terrain mobility scooter at Middleton Top

Joyce explored the High Peak Trail in the Derbyshire Dales on a tramper all-terrain mobility scooter.

She hired the tramper from Middleton Top Visitor Centre run by Derbyshire Countyside Services. Derbyshire County Council runs an excellent Access Derbyshire scheme which aims to improve countryside access for everyone - https://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/leisure...

The High Peak Trail follows the line of the former Cromford and High Peak Railway. It is traffic free apart from cyclists, horse riders and pedestrians. We travelled east for shelter from the trees on one of the hottest days of the year! There was one incline near the beginning of the trail, but the tramper, and Joyce, coped brilliantly.
