The Zoo's Congo Expedition opened in 1998 and 2000, and even though its theme isn't exactly a fresh new idea, it truly feels like a whole new experience with every visit. We're diving into the deepest, darkest parts of the jungle to walk, talk and even laugh among animals that were unknown to the western world for so long. You'll hear all the different sounds grey parrots make, see quite literally a Bonobo playground, witness a gorilla show off their dental work, learn how the okapi was discovered, and watch the ONLY African Leopards in a major American Zoo.
